My Students

Music is one way to a person's heart and brain, yet my students have nothing to hold and play their music to lead to their hearts and brains.

These students are active, creative, and curious kindergarten students attending an Omaha (Nebraska) Public School.

They have a desire to learn while having fun. These students come from a variety of backgrounds. I have both white and blue collar families in my classroom, single parent households, refugee families, and a variety of others that will all benefit from the donation.

My Project

The iPod and docking system will allow music to be at our fingertips and any time we'd like. We will not be wasting valuable learning time while searching through Cd's and making sure the CD player works. The music material we use works on a variety of skills (alphabet, numbers, sight words, letter sounds, spelling, rhyming, etc.)

With the donation of the iPod and docking system, I will be able to meet the learning needs of all students through a variety of genres.

Music allows the students to have fun while working on or learning new content.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
