My Students

Do you remember how tricky it was to learn new skills while you were in school? Now imagine how much more difficult it would be for you if you couldn't learn in the traditional way most students could.

As a resource teacher, I work with a wide variety of special education students.

These third and fourth grade students have special needs that include Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities. These students also attend school in a low income area.

My Project

My special education students need supplies to help them learn in a creative and fun way. With these beneficial tools (video camera, DVDs, and DVD cases), my resource students will have a new way of practicing their math skills, reading fluency, handwriting, and social studies and science terms! Most importantly, my students will be able to record and watch themselves over and over again.

Often times, my students have a hard time trying something new because of their fear of failure.

By having this wonderful incentive, I will be able to help my students work on academic deficits in a more positive way!
