My Students

What did you do at school today? The answer will no longer be " nothing" or I don't know! Students will now be able to record their learning themselves, video presentations and readers theaters and then post videos on our Twitter account or send an email home with their new flip video cameras!

I have the most awesome group of second graders!

They challenge me on a daily basis with new ideas. I provide a differentiated classroom with a philosophy of student based learning and my students thrive in it. We are a low income district working hard to move further into the technology based learning age.

My Project

With the flip video cameras, my students will be able to document cooperative learning, presentations, readers theaters, service project events, and much more and then upload to our Twitter account, web page, or simply email to parents. The line of communication will open tremendously between school and home and/or other schools on a daily basis. Providing this feature in my classroom will give students an even larger sense of ownership in their learning. They will feel proud and excited to see themselves and each other on the computer, screen, or iPad.

I feel that the pride students will have in filming their learning and their products will be huge success with the flip cameras.

Also, parents and other family members will become addicted to pulling up our web page or Twitter account to see what is going on in their child's classroom in the moment. Donating to this project will make a difference in leading our future into this technology based world in a very positive way!
