My Students

Do you remember how uncomfortable hard plastic chairs can be after hours of sitting in them? Help my struggling students reach their full potential by replacing traditional chairs with exercise balls. Research shows this is an effective classroom tool, especially for students who need to move!

I have the privilege of teaching a room of struggling students who have fallen through the cracks for one reason or another.

Every student in my room is struggling with all or part of their accidemics. I do not try to hide that from my students we focus on teamwork and working together through our strengths and weaknesses. However, in addition to struggling academically many of my students come from economically disaventaged homes. I am always learning and researching how to best meet the needs of these students and do all I can to help them achieve Thier full potential. Since many of my students struggle with processing, attention and focus, I have been looking onto that area specifically and exercise ball instead of traditional chairs, has been showing a positive impact in classrooms across the country, and around the world.

My Project

Help my students wiggle through the day! I want to replace our traditional chairs with exercise balls. It has been prove that children learn better with movement. Exercise balls allow students to move while remaining focused at their seat. I was skeptical at first, but after reading what many teachers and students have to say I am excited and I can not wait to implement this in my classroom of struggling students. I want my student to have fun learning, I want to make their learning as trouble free as I can as I build their confidence and basic skills along the way. Please help me bring this fun way of learning to our classroom, and help make a difference in the lives of my students!
