My Students

Do you know what it is like for a student to repeat a class because he/she failed the first time? Sometimes they failed because they were lazy, sometimes because of problems at home. Should these students receive a second chance? Yes.

I teach 10 Repeaters, students who failed 10th grade English last year.

These are students who failed due to various reasons: home life, social life, not caring,etc. What I try to do with these students is give them a fresh start, a new beginning in English.

My Project

This class set of books will show my students that there is help out there when they need it, to not give up, and to not give in to pressure. The girl in this book commits suicide because she does not have anyone to turn to. I want to show my students that they do have someone--me.

This project is so important to me because my students are important to me.

I care about this topic--teen issues. I can show my students that there are ways out of tough situations, if they can just find someone who cares about them.
