This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know how it feels when you sit down and are truly into a book? You just can't put the book down it almost feels as if you are in a different place. Well this is what I want for my students and I believe that Percy Jackson and the Olympians the series can do this for them.

My students are 6th graded Middle School students that are excited to read, want to read and want to learn.

My classes of 25 students are enthusiastic and like to be challenged. If my students had a class set of Percy Jackson and the Olympians the series they would be grateful and excited to have the opportunity to read and be entertained by such a great book.

My Project

A class set of Percy Jackson and the Olympians the series so as a class we can read the book in order. While we are reading the books we will be doing projects: plays, posters, comic strips, foldable, and shadow boxes. All of these projects will keep the students engaged and excited.

I am a first year teacher and a single mom that is trying to do the best I can for my students.

I want my students to have all the opportunity in the world and I believe that having a class set of Percy Jackson and the Olympians can be exciting and open up some wonderful project for us to have in class.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
