My Students

My students love morning meeting and reader's workshop, but have trouble sitting still because they are not comfortable. They are begging me to get pillows and a rug! Please help my children relax into reading and community time :)

My students go to a small public school.

My school is a Title I school and as a result I have many second grade students that are reading at beginning first grade level. However, they just adore reader's workshop particularly buddy reading. It is such a joy to watch them sit knee to knee, elbow to elbow and show such friendly behavior! Please help us continue our love for reading!

My Project

My students need a rug and soft portable seats to sit on for morning meeting and independent and buddy reading. These resources will provide my students with comfort as we build community and reading skills. They will look forward to both if they have a rug and pillows! I also believe that if they receive these resources from a donor they discover that there are people that care about them!

Please, please help me make my students learn in a cozy environment that is conducive to community and reading.

My students are a joy to teach and I care so much about them and just want them to always be happy and smiling. This will make them so happy. Thank you for considering my project!
