My students need 36 dry erase boards and dry erase markers in order to all have access to answering at once.

My Students

Don't you hate it when you know the answer, but someone else gets to say it? What if all students could answer and share at the same time? Yes, it's possible. However, our whiteboards are falling apart and we run out of dry erase markers before the end of the school year!

I teach at a public K-8 school.

I teach 6th-8th graders Math, from 6th grade to high school Algebra. My middle school students are 50% free & reduced lunch, which is higher than the overall school's percentage. We do lots of hands-on and interactive learning and this is one way to keep all kids involved. My kids are a talkative bunch and I have them confer with a table partner before they show their work.

My Project

The individual whiteboards are 9 and 1/2 inches by 12 inches. Each student, from each math class, will be able to utilize these in class. Plus, the dry erase markers to write upon said boards. We practice the new concepts on these boards. I then ask the students to consult each other to see if they agree or disagree. Each pair needs to come to a consensus before sharing their answers with the class. The problems can be solved differently, but the final answers should match.

The flimsy falling apart items we share our work on now desperately need to be replaced.

Not to mention the school runs out of dry erase markers in about March and I have to personally purchase more for my math students. Please consider my request. It will benefit three different classes of math at three different levels. These boards will be utilized nearly everyday. What a gift to my students.
