My Students

Would you think to take the SAT, GRE, MCAT or LSAT without practice; without test prep? We can't expect our students to take the state test without test prep either.

My students come from poverty.

Most often their parents have not attend college, many never graduated from high school. They are in homes in which the parents support as best as they can, but when it comes to preparing for high stakes test they are unaware of how to help their child. Nor do they have the money to buy practice materials or classes.

My Project

I am requesting test prep books for each of my students. They would never be able to afford it otherwise, and neither can my school. These books will allow us to practice actual test questions and actual tests. We are setting up our students for disappointment and failure if we do not prepare them for the high stakes end of year state test.

We cannot continue to let the poverty cycle continue.

My students can be the the first ones to graduate high and attend college in their families, BUT we have to give them the tools to do well not just in school, but on high stakes test. Please give the opportunity of college dreams to my students but helping them pass the state test.
