This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students that work hard and stay focused all day need and deserve the reward I offer at the end of each school day - FREE TIME. Unfortunately, since games are so expensive it has been impossible to replace the few donated games we had with new offerings.

My kids are from an urban setting in one of the poorest areas of Connecticut.

There are located in a lower economic area and go to a school that does the best it can with the meager resources it gets. Close to 100 percent of the student body receives free or reduced lunch.

My Project

My kids love playing board games during their free time yet sadly we never have enough to go around to everyone. The few games we had had been donated to the class many years ago and have simply fallen apart or have had pieces gone missing through use and the usual movement in the classroom.

I would love to have this project funded because I would love to be able to offer my hard workers a reward worthy of their effort.

I always try to teach my kids that good deeds never go unnoticed. However, the inability to provide the materials for a proper free time always limits my ability to show them truly how much their stellar work is appreciated.
