My Students

You only have 10 fingers and 10 toes to count on. My students need math manipulatives to help enrich their math learning.

I have 18 wonderfully unique 4th graders who are dying to give their fingers a rest.

My students are eager to learn whatever they can and will not stop until they do. For some math is their weak point. We are a Title 1 elementary school in the sunny state of Florida.

My Project

With these math manipulatives, my students will be able to visualize the problem I put before them. Knowing why they have to learn math and relating math to real world problems will make learning more fun and they will have a better understanding of why they are learning. At our school math is our weakest point and I would like to put a stop to it.

With these math games and centers in our classroom it will make a difference in how long they stay engaged.

It will also make them more a part of learning by making it interactive with friends and by themselves.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
