What did you say? Students need a device to help them remember what people said in the interview!

The students that are in Publications are of varying academic standings.

Often, Publications can be a successful class for lower achieving students because they are able to create projects that affect other students and have to take responsibility for their work. However, some students with academic challenges find interviews challenging because of difficulty listening, poor handwriting, or general anxiety.

My Project

If students with the issues described above were able to take in a recording device into the interview, they could later listen to the recording and compare it to their notes. This would, in turn, give them all the information needed to fill in the gaps and allow them to write phenomenal stories with quotes. It would increase their confidence and make them feel more secure. Additionally, I can record lessons for absent students to help make them successful when they are gone.

I want to be able to give all students an equal chance at success.

Often times, students can slip through the cracks and slide by. In Publications, I want these students to excel and find that they have resources to make them successful. This could be a stepping stone to other academic successes.
