My Students

What better way to improve literacy skills than laughing and learning at the same time. My students need to have fun while they are learning. They need to see that learning CAN be fun. Through a variety of board games, bingo, and interactive games, they will become skilled in literacy.

My students do not receive much encouragement from home to learn.

They need to see that we can have fun while we learn. Our school is an inner city school in GA, that lacks necessary funds to spend on educational games. Funding for these games will encourage and excite my students to better their skills. The games we have are old and most of the parts are lost. New games will be an incentive to learn.

My Project

These resources will aid children in various reading and literacy skills. Learning and laughing is an exciting way to learn. No more of the humdrum, boring sit at your desk learning. Playing while learning is exciting for any child. My students will beg to play these games and be pleased to see their skill improvement.

My project is important because my students need extra encouragement in order to learn and for learning to be important.

Many of their skills are not on grade level and these games will increase their learning to that of their grade level. These new games will fill the room with laughter as they learn and grow.
