My students come from a high poverty, rural area with minimal technology in the homes.

It is critical to have access to computers and Internet at school. Currently we have seven computers in the library to serve 1,000 students. We do not have computer labs available to our students individually or in classes.

My Project

My students will be able to use computers to access the world outside the four walls of the library and beyond our community. They can access material and information not available in our physical building. Accessing this information will result in higher quality work and hopefully inspire them to become active participants in the world.

With this additional computer, my students can complete their education and become real-world learners.

Access to technology will provide inspiration and motivation to fuel their dreams beyond high school. Many will be the first high school graduate and/or first to attend college in their families.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
