My Students

"The more you read, the more you will know. The more you learn, the more places you will go." Dr.Seuss said, and my students will be able to learn more through the use of technology integration with their math and reading centers.

My first grade students are a part of a small charter school with very limited resources.

They are on various levels of ability and in need of a resource to use during centers that can embrace all of their learning levels. My students are a very energetic group who love to have a more hands on approach to learning.

My Project

By donating to my project, you will allow my students to have access to many different learning resources. My project will allow my classroom to have two Ipod Touch systems as well as two sets of headphones. Students will be able to record what they are reading aloud and have it play back to them. Students can play interactive math lessons, through use of applications, to help grasp math concepts with a more concrete understanding. I will have the ability to allow the students to listen to books on recording being read aloud to improve fluency.

This project is such a great chance to help improve students' fluency and reading comprehension by being able to hear books and text being read aloud.

Giving students access to technology will help to prepare them for their future and the technology they will use in higher grade levels.
