My Students

Do you remember that first book that captivated your thoughts to the point you just couldn't put it down? My hopes is to introduce students to a wonderful series of books that not only creates excitement, but challenges their thoughts on society as well.

My students come from a Title I school, which means over 40% of the students receive free and reduced lunch.

My students loved to be challenged, but with tough economic times, and educational budget cuts, it can be tough to acquire new materials to maintain interests and engage their minds.

My Project

I am requesting the purchase of Suzanne Collins "The Hunger Games" trilogy. Collins amazing story telling ability, told through the eyes of a teenage girls, not only is filled with excitement, but challenges what students think of society and reality television.

Help allow my eager students receive these books: Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay, to engage, entertain, and enlighten them.

Help them realize that their are books out their that not only make you think, but are so good you just can't put them down!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
