My Students

How does electricity get to the lights? That is a question that I hear in the classroom.

My students are 5th graders with a thirst for knowledge.

They are constantly asking questions and exploring their answers. They attend a small school in Florida with a free and reduced lunch percentage of 54%. These materials will help them understand about electricity.

My Project

The student electricity kit will allow the students to work in groups and explore 25 different electrical experiments. They will have the experience to work with electromagnetism, chemical energy, static electricity and resistance. The students will learn about the different types of electricity.

This project is important because the students need the experience of working with and understanding electricity.

They encounter electricity everyday in their lives and they need to understand the hows and the whys of electricity.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
