My students need an oven, baking supplies and 20 copies of "H Is for Honor", a military family alphabet book that speaks from the heart about the honor, privilege and sacrifices of military families.

My daddy is fighting for freedom and honor... In a land so far away... I think, dream and pray for him... Each and every day. I know these thoughts are shared by many students at my school...for their father or mother who is currently serving our country overseas.

Hi, My name is Ms. G.

I am a veteran special education teacher in a primary school in Virginia. Our school serves many dedicated military families. With Memorial Day fast approaching I was thinking I wanted to do something with my class to honor the the families of our deployed troops.

My Project

The idea is pretty simple. All we need is an small Smart Oven, some baking pans, muffin liners and a recipe book, to bake up some healthy "Red, White and Blue(berry)" muffins to give the children in our school's deployment group. I would also like to be able to give each child in the group a book that was written to pay tribute to our military and their families. "H is for Honor" is a book that explores the branches of the Armed Services and speaks from the heart about the honor, privileges and sacrifices of military families everywhere. It is an ABC book written for younger children (4-8 years old) and it helps them discover what it means to be patriotic/
