Mrs. Dunlap-Conner from Memphis TN is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a laptop computer to use in the classroom. This laptop will allow my students to do extensive research on classroom projects.

Have you ever tried to do research or complete a project and did not have access to a computer? This is something that many of my students face because they do not have access to technology outside of school. This laptop will aid in helping my students complete projects and become technology savvy.
Technology is a vital component for success in education.
Students are becoming more interested in technology and it has contributed to the learning of many students. I teach at a Title I school with approximately 300 students. I have a classroom of 15 students and over half of them do not have access to technology at home or transportation to a public library to use technology. Although faced with many challenges, my students are always eager to learn and enjoy using technology to enhance their learning.
Having a classroom laptop for student use will allow the students to do research for projects, play educational games, and even read books. This laptop will also be available for the students to check-out and use at home to complete projects. My students will be able to share the learning of technology with each other and family members.
Receiving this laptop would be very important to me and my students because they will have the opportunity to explore more using the web which will enhance and increase their learning.
