Curious Kindergartners Need Science Materials!!

My students need materials to help them learn the kindergarten curriculum, including activity tubs, a Five Senses Theme Box,and an Earth & Environment Theme Book Library.

My Students

Do you remember when you were young and wanted to perform a science experiment but didn't have the materials?

My students are in kindergarten and do not have science materials to learn the curriculum they are supposed to.

They attend a high poverty school that doesn't always purchase science materials with all the other materials that need purchasing. They LOVE science and learning about the world around them. These students are curious, inquisitive, questioning, wondering, observant, and almost any other descriptive word you can think of! There are some days where they could just sit and question everything to learn more! They want to know about the world around them but can't with our lack of materials.

My Project

I have requested a hands-on learning theme box and read aloud books to go with each science topic my kindergarten students need to learn about. These resources will allow me to open the children's minds to topics like the five senses, force and motion, living things, and Earth materials. I will be able to read and discuss fiction and non-fiction stories with them on their science curriculum. They will have hands on materials to help them see what materials look like. We will be able to observe, sort, and write about the topics. My kindergarten students will be prepared for first grade and beyond because they will have the basic knowledge needed to learn more complex topics.
