Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember what it was like to go on a science exploration? Our students want to explore the outdoors using individual kits that will enhance the exploration experience. We want to be able to supply each student with a zip lock baggie that includes the basic necessities.
Our 5th grade students are in Texas and they love exploring the outdoors and learning about the environment around them.
These students have an imagination and love hands on learning for science. Most children come from a disadvantage background and we look forward to getting these items donated.
My Project
Our children will be able to step outside the classroom and use science to explore the world around them from leaves to insects to other creatures. They will be able to collect items and learn about them and journal about them as a group in the classroom. We envision this helping them have a respect for the environment around them.
This project will enhance the hands on learning experience that our children thrive for and as a result they will become self sufficient that everything outdoors has a purpose and share with other students the purpose of each insect, leaf and soil.
