Going green! Are you tired of seeing so much paper wasted? Using wipe boards to participate in class activities will not only cut down on paper, but also provide my students the extra practice needed to successfully master a skill.
I have 17 second graders who are eager to learn this year.
My students learn best through active participation. By using the wipe boards, all my students are engaged in class discussions. No one is left out.
Our school is located in a high poverty area in which our district has insufficient funds to support student learning. With your support, you can help make learning fun!
My Project
By providing my students with new wipe boards, erasers, and a lapboard supply center, students will have another tool to practice their math and spelling in the classroom besides the traditional worksheets.
We use our wipe boards every day. We review what we have learned in math, by solving problems and sharing them in groups. Students practice their spelling words daily, by quizzing each other and writing them on their wipe board. With this tool, my students have fun learning while saving the amount of paper being used.
By supporting my project, you will help save several trees.
Students will be able to reinforce what they are learning by using their wipe boards instead of writing it on several worksheets. Having new wipe boards will help my students be actively involved in their learning, where everyone participates. As a teacher, I can quickly assess what my students know by having them write their answers on the wipe board and showing me. I feel this project would be a great asset to our classroom.
