My students need an Apple iPad to use for research and to utilize the educational apps that can be placed on to it.

My Students

It is sad to say but when I was in elementary school, the computer had just been invented. Times sure have changed!! My second graders are very computer savvy and unfortunately we have only one laptop available in our classroom which may be just as old as some of my students.

I am honored this year to teach a group of second graders who are enthusiastic, caring, and eager to learn each day.

Our school is an ELL school so I have students from many different backgrounds, some speaking more than one language. My students' diversity brings so much to the classroom and it is a great opportunity for us to learn from one another.

My Project

Having an Apple ipad will allow my students to use the technology skills they already have to do research as well as utilize the educational apps. that can be downloaded. This iPad can truly affect the learning of all my students, in all subject areas including math, reading science, and social studies. As you can see, the possibilities are endless!!

There are over 300,000 applications for the iPad which means an iPad in my classroom will literally open up the world to my students!

My students deserve every resource possible to enhance their learning. The iPad, and all of the possibilities it will bring to my students are perfect for learning basic computer skills, maneuvering through educational websites, and great for English language development for my ELL students.
