My Students

My students are hungry to learn about the "why" of science but are lacking resources to find them.
My 4th grade students have a wide range of science backgrounds ranging from very advanced to very little. Our classroom library has few non-fiction science books. I want to give my students the opportunity to read about science and learn more. Reading from a science textbook does provide information but not in an interesting, attention getting way that will "stick" with my students.
My Project
I am requesting books that are high interest science books. With our state standards changing, I need to provide books that correlate with these new expectations. I want to keep my students interested in science and these books will help with that goal.
Your donation will make it possible for my students to have access to quality non-fiction science books to help them discover the facts of science so they can "fly." Fulfillment of this project will also enable my students to branch out to other genres of reading.
