My Students

Our teachers are embracing technology along with our students. They are making quizzes on the Senteo clickers, and finding videos to spark interest in science and social studies. However, the teachers on a grade level are sharing a projector; they have to wait for their turn to use the technology.

We are located in North Carolina.

Our students are a mixed group with 10% Limited English Proficiency, and 18% low income. Teachers have been working hard to improve learning for students and we are now designated a School of Distinction. Students at our school love learning, and get excited about using technology.

My Project

A projector will help magnify and expand what students can do with technology. Students are learning to collaborate and a projector is a great way to display work reflecting their collaborations. It will also help them learn to use web 2.0 tools to be prepared to function in the 21st century.

We have been trying to catch up with other schools with new technology.

Adding projectors is our first step to bringing our school up to current standards. We want to have projectors for all of our teachers, and we are working to obtain them, one at a time.
