My Students

As the kids say, OMG! How many students do I have on my roster? Class sizes have gone up and with every student comes a pile of papers to grade, feedback to write, and improvements to work on. With the Student Response Clickers, I can instantly grade student responses and evaluate performance.

My students come from a low-income, gang infested community.

It has no parks, nor parks & recreation department for students to participate in. In addition, our students are in need of exposure to technology. Few of our families have home computers, and rely on exposure at school in order to become 21st century prepared.

My Project

I am requesting a classpack of Student Response System clickers. These are remote controls with buttons for multiple choice questions. Student responses are communicated with teacher's device, which gives instant data on correct and incorrect answers. This is an invaluable tool, that will increase my efficiency in quickly grading students and refining my teaching to match their needs. This will eliminate hours upon hours of needlessly hand grading assignments and quizzes.

Without donors such as yourself, access to this type of technology and cutting-edge teaching techniques would be near to impossible.

The use of technology keeps students motivated, engaged, and ready to learn. I am thrilled at the possibility of sharing this type of learning with the students and with you when this project comes to life.
