My Students

Don't you hate it when your students create awesome work and you take a fuzzy picture of it? All of their hard work goes down the drain! My students need a reliable camera to document their excellent work.

I teach in a small school that houses Pre-K and Headstart, as well as Special Needs.

I have 19 energetic and curious 4 year olds, with 20 being my maximum. My school does not provide transportation for all students, so my kids are spread throughout our middle-Georgia city.

My Project

Bright from the Start runs the free Pre-K in Georgia, and they are funded by the Georgia Lottery. Unfortunately, due to the poor economy, our funding is drying up. Despite this, Bright from the Start requires us to keep portfolios on each child to show their progress throughout the year, and one type of documentation is photographs. My personal camera does not take the best photos, and it's frustrating to have blurry or poor pictures of great work the kids have completed. With a quality camera, I would be able to take better pictures, so that my student's work can be preserved.

Your donations will help keep our portfolios updated, and it will also allow us to send nice pictures for the families to cherish.

My students will also enjoy seeing beautiful pictures of themselves on our class walls. It will give them a sense of ownership and encourage positive self-esteem.
