This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hungry to learn math and match skills in the real world but they lack a computer to do this. They want to create math blogs, math videos, skype and create math screencasts but simply lack a basic computer to this.

Our students our TITLE 1 students with 90% from projects and getting free lunch.

They are grades 6th-8th. They are spunky students with a ton of character and care. They simply have been shortchanged in life. Yet, they are a very determined bunch who are striving to excel.

My Project

We are requesting one computer to help our students learn math and learn the way the world is moving. The business world is learning via the Internet and our students are very creative. They are determined to create math blogs and math videos. They are striving to show math in their neighborhood and store in online. They simply do not have the computer. They want to create a lifelong digital portfolio that they can use and share with relatives who live in other countries. With a computer, they could also get their parents move involved in their studies.

With one computer, you could connect many countries!

Students would learn life lasting lessons and have their families involved from many other countries! They would leave math footprints for the students who follow them too.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
