My Students

Tennessee state standards say that our kids should be able to tell the difference in cloud types, be able to use a variety of weather tools, and understand our atmosphere. They expect us to do this from textbooks! Textbooks are a great resource, but they don't allow the kids to experiment!

My 3rd grade class is the best!

We love to learn and we always come ready for whatever comes up. Our school is in a suburb in Tennessee and we are always finding new and fun ways to learn. Our class differs in ability levels and incorporating hands-on activities is key for us!

My Project

This weather station and cloud station will be helpful in changing students' outlook on science in general, as well as helping them learn vital skills for future math and science classes. We will be setting our weather station up outside, at our school and will have "daily forecasts" given by the students.

This is such an important project in order for us to meet state standards and continue to "rise to the top".

Our kids need to be challenged and inspired to become scientists and engineers. Let's help them succeed!
