My students need road signs on their riding area to help them read while riding bikes.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like riding in the car with your mother and she would get you to practice spelling the road signs to help you learn your letters? My children do not have the opportunity to see many road signs because our school is in a rural area without signs for miles.

Most of my students come from poor families.

The majority of the experiences they get happen at school. Each of these children deserve to grow and learn in a fun way. Some children have riding toys, but most of them will learn how to ride at school.

My Project

I want to incorporate the road signs into riding toy play to make the children aware of road signs and their meanings. Our major highway does not have any road signs for miles. The children will learn to recognize and read the signs. By donating to this project, you will be helping to teach my children to read.

We all know that children learn by playing.

This project will create an interest in the letters and words on the signs. Once the children have a desire to read, the rest of the process is much easier.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
