My Students

"What happens to a dream deferred?" It's my dream to provide "eyes" to the world for students with the use of webcams. The webcams will make our dreams come true!

I teach 40 sensational second grade students in a rural community that does not even have a traffic light!

Although the students live in a small community, they have a BIG desire to achieve greatness. It is my wish to provide learning experiences for the students that will open their eyes and minds to the world around them with the use of webcams.

My Project

I am requesting two webcams for use in my classroom and the school. Each webcam will provide an "eye" to the world for students. With teacher supervision, the cameras will enable students to interact with other classrooms of students, teachers, and professionals to share stories, ask questions, establish pen pals, and much more! The webcams will expand my students' learning horizon beyond the four walls of the classroom and the small community in which they live.

The We Can with Webcams project will provide endless opportunities for my rural students to experience and greater understand their community, state, and the world around them.

The web cameras will become their "eyes" to the world and enhance their overall learning experience.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
