My students need solar system models and a star theater to immerse ourselves into an outer space classroom.

My Students

Send us to outer space! Well not quite all the way to outer space, but help us to transform our classroom into a teachable model of space including stars, planets, and constellations.

I teach applied technology to 1st-6th grade high-need, low-income students in a large urban public school district in New Jersey.

Our students are primarily Hispanic and include a high number of special education students. More than 85% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Our students are primarily tactile learners and providing hands-on models and visual aids will help them to learn more about the world around them.

My Project

I am requesting a star projector, an inflatable planet kit, and a desktop solar system model to help our students learn more about our solar system and outer space. With these tools our students will be able to immerse themselves into space and be better able to visualize and understand concepts that are beyond our everyday vision.

Your help will ensure that our students will be better prepared and more knowledgeable in the areas of science and technology.

With your donation we will be able to bring outer space right to our classroom.
