Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
No more chalkboards! I have a big white board for my room, but my students each need a set of wipe off boards so they can work on their writing. And phonics stamps will keep them engaged while they learn to spell lots of words!
I am a second grade teacher in a Title 1 school.
This school is in a very low income area, and many of my students come from troubled home situations.
I want more than anything for them to be exposed to a wide variety of supplies and curriculum so that they can achieve their full potential. Literacy is essential!
My Project
This classroom set of wipe off boards, complete with markers, erasers, and even a storage base, would profoundly affect my students in a positive way! These boards keep students engaged, they LOVE to use them and it really helps them become better writers.
The phonics stamps would be very helpful as well, providing them ample opportunities to explore and master phonics skills!
Budget cuts have affected us all, and they have made their way into my classroom as well.
Your generous donation would dramatically change the level of engagement in my room and help to create young readers who love to read! Thank you for considering this proposal
