My Students

Do you remember doing something really cool in class and you wanted to be able to show someone?

With this camcorder, it gives us the chance to record special events in class such as readers theater, plays, spelling bees, math challenges, etc..

and we can send the clips home to show parents what we are doing in class. It also allows us to send video messages over to our Pen Pals in India. Now the students in India can see us and see what we are doing. This video camcorder will allow my students a whole new way to communicate with others. It will also give them a chance to record themselves and watch it to see where they need to slow down in areas of fluency and what they need to improve on. Finally, this will give us the opportunity to record and share any fun and teachable moment with our peers.

My Project

This resource will change my students' lives for the better because it will give them the opportunity to share what they are doing in the classroom with others. It will allow them to send clips home to their parents of what they learning. It will allow them to communicate to their PenPals in India and will allow the Indian students live footage of their pen pals and what an American class looks like. Finally it will allow them to see the work they have done. You never can see yourself put on the play but this camcorder will allow them to see their final productions that they have put into reader's theater.

This is important because it will keep learning fun.

It will allow my students to explore more technology and keep up with the fast paced technology world. It will also give them a teachable moment by critiquing themselves and seeing where they can make improvements to better themselves.
