Rocket Power Video Production

My students need a camera and equipment to create weekly news videos for our middle school.

My Students

Rocket Power began last year and has created an excitement among the students to want to be creative and explore the possibilities of journalism. With the use of new cameras, the students can create in their words "mind-blowing" videos that inform and educate.

Our Middle School students, particularly the 8th grade students are the primary creators of this Rocket Power Project.

They have incorporated their ideas into the project by meshing music, video, current events, student activities, and many other classroom concepts into a weekly Friday video. The students work to create products that are professional (and we are still learning in this area), but with assistance, we can grow and continue to produce a product in Rocket Power (one that we can be extremely proud).

My Project

Living in a small community sometimes leads our students to not think beyond our small community. By introducing our students to activities that incorporate the digital world, we are introducing them to potential careers and hopefully, motivate and encourage them to consider a broader selection of job possibilities.

I am asking that you contribute to this project where we can create and produce projects that mean not only something to the students, but shares our productivity with our parents, grandparents, and patrons.
