My Students

Imagine being in a science classroom with minimal technology available. Help us out by donating towards a classroom projector, so the students can present projects through PowerPoint, or video. I would also like to use it daily in taking notes and presenting educational media.

9th grade physical science students in a large urban district in Ohio.

They are eager to learn and have limited technological experience. Many of my students come from families of low socioeconomic status, with the school having 70% of the students on free or reduced lunch. About 20% of the students in the district are African American, and there is a very large Appalachian population as well.

My Project

My students will be able to present PowerPoint presentations to the class. They will be able to show video, or any electronic media to the class. They will be able to take notes and view engaging videos. They'll learn more about technology and class will be more interesting and appealing to them.

This project is important because science and technology go hand in hand and both need to improve in public schools.

In my classes, I try to utilize technology as much as possible, and a projector is a necessity. Thank you for helping.
