My Students

Imagine kindergarten without crafts! A memorable kindergarten experience involves numerous arts and crafts that support the curriculum. This doesn't always happen because the work room is too busy and the appropriate preparations can't be made.We need our own set of supplies to get these kids going!

I am a kindergarten teacher at a low socioeconomic school located in Central Oregon.

I am so honored to work for such an exceptional school with an amazing passion for education and the students which we serve. I have the privilege of molding the young hearts and minds of thirty-eight young students a day. My kids are creative, passionate, and love the arts! They are truly little sponges who soak up the possibilities in front of them.

My Project

In kindergarten, there are a few major essentials that every teacher needs to prepare for the endless creativity that happens daily in the classroom. Almost all of the preparation happens behind the scenes before the kids arrive at school. Without this preparation, you wouldn't see beautifully decorated bulletin boards full of turkey hand print art, crepe paper butterflies or each child's silhouette...especially with two sessions of kindergarten. The work room at our school is always buzzing and every precious moment counts! My dream classroom would include its very own paper cutter, electric pencil sharpener and an electric three hole punch.

My students deserve the best that I can offer and when the work room is jam packed it is impossible to get everything accomplished for two sessions of kindergarten.

This is why it would be amazing to have our own supplies in our classroom.
