Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need intense structure and organization to succeed. The binders I requested will help them do that! The fish tank I requested may be the first opportunity my students experience having a pet!

My students come from a low income neighborhood in southern Florida where home resources are in scarce supply.

These students need all the assistance they can get. They come to school everyday wanting to learn, and it is my responsibility to give them all the resources they need.

My Project

I plan on organizing all of the students paperwork from all content areas into one binder. This will help them alleviate confusion of having documents all over the place. The fish tank will give the students responsibility in caring for a pet as well as an opportunity to have one. This is an experience many of them have not had.

The binders may not be an item that the students get excited about, but they will soon realize how important it is to stay organized to be most successful.

As stated before, the fish tank will allow them to have a pet!
