This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Preparing for the jobs of tomorrow." Bring the world to my classroom... An LCD projector gives students windows into history, science, and math. Video clips and interactive sites helping them problem solve and learn how to access information to further their learning.

Welcome to room F1 a multicultural 5th grade classroom.

This year I have 38 students who love to learn and deserve the latest technology. We currently have one computer in our classroom and use the overhead projector for visuals. My motivated students would love to be sharing power points and projects with each other using an LCD projector! My class is represented by many cultures and languages. Many of the students don't have access to computers at home. They care about the world and want to be future leaders. Please help us reach our goals.

My Project

Currently we are limited by using an overhead projector and a small TV screen. This technology is old and doesn't provide great visuals for such a large group of students. There is only one computer in our classroom and it would be an incredible learning experience for these deserving students if they could share projects, view educational sites, and view their team work through an LCD projector. 5th grade math, science, and social studies can be enriched by educational sites that have video clips, songs, documents, and letters from the people who lived our history. An LCD projector opens the outside resources to the classroom. Students will hear the voices of history, view space and its expanse, and share their discoveries with each other. These students deserve better than is currently provided. Please help create a classroom environment that will bring learning to life and enrich education.

Technology keeps students engaged and connected to real events happening in the world.

Students will use the LCD projector to share projects and search information on the web to enrich their learning. There are many resources for teaching math bringing up 3D images and interactive sites that will bring learning to life. Please support these children and help them reach their full potential by providing them with the tools they need.
