My Students

Do you remember the pride you felt when you wrote your name for the first time?

My class is a lively group of four year olds that love to socialize and write letters to each other.

I refer to them as “chatty patties on a mission ”. Our school is a lower economic school that seems to always be last on the list to receive any new supplies or materials. Currently, 98% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. However, that has not stopped our desire to learn and grow. Our writing center consists of four milk crates duct taped together. We really need a functional writing center that is conducive to learning.

My Project

This writing desk will mean so much to the class. Currently, our writing center consists of four milk crates duct taped together. We really need a functional writing center that is conducive to learning. Students that are encouraged to write understand that language conveys messages.

We really need this center to encourage our little ones that their thoughts and ideas count.
