Flipping Out With iMovie

My students need two Flip Video Camcorders to use when making iMovie projects.

My Students

Help us infuse the arts into our curriculum by providing students with the tools to make their own videos.

We are a neighborhood school serving kindergarten through fifth grade.

Our enrollment is slightly over 500 students. We are located in a suburban setting. Each year our school has a theme. Students work on independent, classroom, and school-wide goals throughout the school year. We celebrate our progress at assemblies that reinforce our school theme.

My Project

Flip video cameras will allow students to have a hands-on experience with video production. One of our school goals is to infuse the arts into the curriculum. Flip video cameras will enable students to document this experience and create movies with their video footage. Students will also use the Flip video cameras to create arts-infused projects.

All video projects we currently do are filmed by teachers using a school video camera.

Having Flip video cameras will allow us to let students do their own videotaping. Not only will students be learning about an integrated subject area, they will be learning how to become filmmakers!
