My Students

Big kids reading at a small table doesn't look right. Right now we're using a table that's too small and intended for a computer as our reading table.

My students are from a small town and attend a small rural middle school.

They are hard workers with big dreams. They are kind and helpful. They want to learn, but they're behind their peers academically mostly due to home environments and poverty.

My Project

"People succeed in groups." This table will bring us together to learn in a small group. With a reading table, they'll be working together closely. They will help each other. I will read aloud at this table as well, so sometimes they will be relaxing and enjoying a novel.

Having the right tools at school makes teachers and students feel worthy and important.

The table is not a necessity for learning, but it makes learning more enjoyable and scholarly.
