My Students

Can you imagine your world without technology? It is becoming more and more prevalent in the lives of our children. Please help us bring Language Arts to life and spark creativity in their young minds by equipping us with the right tools.

My students represent a mixture of many different ethnic backgrounds and ability levels, but they are bonded by a love of learning.

These seven and eight year-olds exhibit such a zest for life and are thrilled by new experiences. Our school doesn't qualify for much federal assistance, and each year we receive less and less parental support. This doesn't dampen our spirits, though! Programs such as this are our life-savers!

My Project

The resources we are requesting will bring learning to life for our students. They will soar to new heights as they learn about action verbs by physically acting them out and video recording their own productions! Writing will become more vivid as they are able to take pictures to illustrate their own stories. They then can keep them forever as they are downloaded onto their personal DVD. Students who can take ownership over their work tend to achieve higher goals and process the information more deeply. Can you remember your second grade days? Wouldn't you have always remembered an "Action Verb" movie starring yourself? Please help us "move to learn" and take our curriculum to levels never before achieved!
