My Students

There is so much going on in the world at any given moment. TIME for kids takes the current news and writes the articles so that kids can not only understand them, but they can form their own opinions, have informed conversations, and have a clearer understanding of current events in the world.

My students are a group of 4th and 5th grade kids who are curious and excited about what goes on around them.

They love to learn and discuss the topics that are on the news or in the newspaper. These students hear about a lot of events around them, but often are not given the opportunity to fully understand them in a kid friendly way.

My Project

TIME for kids is a weekly newspaper that is written for specific grade levels. It has the most current events and interesting articles that inform and motivate students to read nonfiction. It also exposes them to multiple learning situations and topics that they may never have known about. It's a wonderful teaching tool and provides interesting content to support extended activities and meaningful discussions.

This is a wonderful opportunity to provide students with a current nonfiction reading material that is age appropriate.

Each student will get a newspaper for them to keep, read, discuss, and share.
