My Students

One of the most difficult areas of reading to teach in the Third grade is accessing information. There are a variety of reference materials they must be proficient in using. Having enough copies for each student is the first step in teaching this difficult area.

I teach the most amazing Third grade students in the state of Oklahoma.

They are bright and full of energy. Our school is in a small district consisting of one elementary, one middle, and one high school. Our school is one "big family" in a community that is generous and supportive.

My Project

I am asking for a class set of dictionaries and thesauruses. I am hopeful that these reference materials will increase our test scores in accessing information. In the past, my students have struggled with this area. I plan on using both resources in whole group instruction as well as fun learning centers.

By funding this project you will be helping my students understand reference materials.

I will incorporate many fun activities using these materials. Hopefully, with your help researching information won't be dull and boring; it will be rock and roll concert exciting.
