My Students

Let us exercise! The health and physical education program is seeking ways that raises awareness, helps fight against juvenile obesity, and its possible negative effects to include: diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and depression.

Our students attend a Title I school who possess great socio-economic and academic needs.

They show poor diet and lack of exercise. Unfortunately, as a result of the current recession and budget restraints there is no money to support the physical education department for the 2010-2011 school year.

My Project

Stackable aerobic steps: The steps would create a smooth platform that would enable the students to exercise and work on gluts, abs, quads, hams, calves, and torso as well as cardiovascular, strength, and endurance. It is a 50 minutes exercise which produces results on a daily basis.

It is my hope that you will join me, to help my students adopt lifelong exercise habits; that will continue to positively affect their daily lives to help them grow into physically and emotionally fit adolescents.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
