My students need donations to cover the cost of their overnight camping experience and three classes at the Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit, Missouri.

My Students

Do you remember the first time you spent a night away from home? My students want to spend a night under the stars and learn what it is like to take care of themselves.

My students are from various countries and attend a large inner-city school and have never been outside the city limits since moving to our country.

The camping experience and science hands-on activities will be beneficial to each of them. They will build teamwork and confidence in themselves. The memories these students will share will be unforgettable and last a lifetime.

My Project

These students will spend the night away from home and participate in three hands-on science classes. Because they are from low-income families they could not afford to experience this camping experience on their own. The money donated will help send forty 5th graders to this camp. It will encourage students to be responsible, learn teamwork, and create confidence in themselves.

My class attended the camp last year and came back to school more confident in their abilities to do their best in class.

Friends were made, teamwork was incredible for the rest of the year, and students learned to care about each other. I want to provide the same opportunity for my students this year. With your help I can make it possible for this years class.
