This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A picture is worth a thousand words and we are dying to tell that story! This is our big chance to capture on video, the world that surrounds, questions and mystifies us. In this unit we will become journalist and seek to research and answer societal, community and personal issues.
My students are curious and excited to learn about what makes the world tick and are invested in making a change in the world in a big positive ways.
One of the ways for them to explore this will be through investigative reporting and questioning. They are definitely the students who will take advantage of the opportunity to provide the visuals behind the story!
My Project
These cameras will provide my students with the ability to literally share a lens of their world and the issues surrounding them. We will explore a variety of topics and community issues that concerned them and to which they are seeking to become the solution to.
This project will enable students to appreciate the work that goes into journalism and allow them to explore journalism as even a possible career path!
They are eager to seek, research and propose answers.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
