My Students

Do you remember the old overhead projectors your teachers used to do lessons with the class? That was then...this is now. I want desperately to bring my classroom into the 21st Century with exciting technology projects that will engage them in my lessons!

I teach 125 7th grade students in the area of Language Arts.

Our school is located in an extremely high-need community. 100% of the students attending our school receive free lunch. My students are presently scoring below grade level in Reading and Writing. They need lots of motivation to be excited about school.

My Project

There is no money available in our school budget for technology products. This is unfortunate because we live in a technological age. Products like Google Earth are an invaluable teaching tool - and yet completely ineffective if the entire class cannot see or participate. Whole class writing lessons take on a life of their own when done in conjunction with a projector and a laptop. I want my students to be excited about learning and adding a projector to my classroom opens so many doors to so many new learning experiences.

Your donation to my project will allow me to provide every student with engaging lessons infused with technology.

Using a projector to teach my students will help increase their Reading and Writing skills. They will love the addition to our classroom!
