My Students

No permanent classroom for this teacher! Help me move my math instruction from room to room with a portable dry-erase board!

My students attend a public charter school in a low-income area in Indiana.

I teach 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade, as well as high school, math students. The majority of my students are on free or reduced lunch and many are behind grade level in their math content knowledge.

My Project

This year, I do not have a classroom for myself, due to the growth of our student population. Instead, I will be teaching math in five different classrooms throughout the week. My instruction is both vivid and colorful. I use the dry-erase board to give the students examples of what I am teaching them. I also have students come up to the dry-erase board to try math problems for themselves. I really would like to have a portable dry-erase board that I can take from room to room with me so my students can have a little consistency in the instruction that I am giving them.

Not all of the rooms that I am teaching in have a dry-erase board available for my use.

I want to continue to provide my students with a high-quality education and this essential classroom tool will allow me to do that!
